The Thwaites Doomsday Glacier ice shelf is about to break away.

I don't usually post climate news, but this one is different. Thwaites, the Doomsday Glacier, is roughly the size of Britain, and the floating ice shelf holding it in place is fracturing far faster than the models predicted.

If it goes, it does not just raise sea levels on its own, it unpins the glaciers behind it. That is the part that redraws coastlines within our lifetimes. Watch it, then find where you live on a map.
