The idea
The Guild is a free, open community space planned for the roof of a building in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. It brings a maker space, events and an app-builder community into one place.
The idea is to give people somewhere to meet, make things and work on shared interests. Connections can grow through spending time in the space and doing things together.
A place for the neighbourhood
Alongside building and events, The Guild is intended to be a place to raise local social issues. The community can use the space to connect the things people want to make with the neighbourhood they live in.
Where it stands
The Guild is in planning. The rooftop space and its facilities still need to be built, with structural clearance before construction.
The event programme, opening hours and arrangements for shared access are still being worked out.
